This Plastisol Anti-migration Grey first down base is a phthalate free plastisol-based screen printing ink used to prevent dye migrating from the garment into the ink. This is used when the dye-migration is severe. Use this as a solid grey base ink to create a barrier. You will be able to use this ink to print onto cotton and cotton blend garments and polyester blend and polyester garments using either a manual or automatic screen printing press. Please stir well before use.
Screen Mesh Guidelines
Can be used with mesh counts between 34-62t(UK) / 62-156t(US).
Printing instructions and Squeegee durometer
First of all, lower the screen and load it with plenty of ink. Ensure the off contact is set correctly according to the garment you are printing, use the thickness of a pound coin as a guide. If you have just printed a t-shirt and then moving on to print a hoodie you may need to adjust the off contact slightly. Using a sharp squeegee with a durometer of 65+ push or pull (your preference) the ink at a 45° angle over the print. You may need to use a base white on top of this colour.
This ink will require the curing time of 1-2 minutes at the temperature of 160-°, no more
To clean up this ink please use Easiway 842 Screen and Press Wash.
Avoid the contact with skin and eyes. Use according to industrial standards. Keep containers tightly closed after use. Store in a dry place and prevent from freezing.
Curable Reducer to reduce the viscosity without compromising the flash cure time
Always print a test sample of your design and check if the ink is cured. Also, we recommend wash tests for every print job. You will be able to wash this at 40°C. Keep the wash test as reference in case a customer has a query later on.Please allow at least 24hrs to check for dye migration
