Amex opaque base is ready to print opaque base, available in 500g, 1kg and 5kg tubs. Texprint bases are formaldehyde, PVC and heavy metal free and offer you everything you’d expect from a quality made Italian ink. These bases are fully intermixable with the pigment tints to create your own colours, an opaque base for printing onto dark shade fabrics.

Printing 

To obtain best results use decent tension screens 34T/(80) to 90T/(230) both for manual printing and automatic presses – best results with a sharp squeegee blade.

Additives

• Cold Cure Catalyst (for cold curing, or assisting wash resistance)
• Retarder (to slow down the drying of ink on the screen)

Clean up

Please use Water or Franmar Aqua wash or Multipurpose Ink Remover. Easisolv 701 is useful to clean up and remove stains.

Curing 

Water Based Inks are cured at 165°C ideally for 2-3 minutes. Printed garments need to be passed through a quality dryer and the ink film needs to reach the desired temperature and maintained for a fixed time, variables such as garment thickness and colour, ink deposit and operating climate will need to be taken into account when setting your oven parameters. Always wash test production to ensure prints are adequately cured.
