Aqua Flood Bars for M&R Automatic Screen Printing Presses Introducing The Aqua Flood – a special winged flood bar used for screen printing water based inks. Printing with water based inks is a bit different than printing with plastisol. Among the differences is the thickness of ink when flooding the stencil. With water based inks it is best to leave a thicker flood deposit. Therefore – a thicker layer of ink is accomplished using a winged flood bar with a gap of 5mm.
The aqua floods are 16″ in length and are sold in two different size distances. 5mm Aqua Flood gives you a 5mm ink deposit, and the 3mm Aqua Flood gives you a 3mm ink deposit. You keep the ink out of the sides of the frame – you control the flood deposit – and you don’t have to make adjust your flood bar height.
