Amex Texprint waterbased ink is a ready to print opaque Waterbased ink System that is formaldehyde, PVC and heavy metal free and can offer you everything you’d expect from a quality Italian ink. These inks are fully intermixable, super opaque and perfect for printing onto dark and light garments.

• Amex waterbased white extra
• Amex waterbased black
• Amex waterbased lemon yellow
• Amex waterbased blue
• Amex waterbased bright green

Features

Printing 

To obtain best results use decent tension screens 34T/(80) to 90T/(230) both for manual printing and automatic presses – best results with a sharp squeegee blade.

Additives

• Cold Cure Catalyst (for cold curing, or assisting wash resistance)
• Retarder (to slow down the drying of ink on the screen)
• Clear Base (to base colour back or soften colour for printing onto light shade garments)

Clean up

Please use Water or Franmar Aquawash or Multipurpose Ink Remover. Easisolv 701 is useful to clean up and remove stains.

Curing 

Water Based Inks are cured at 165°C ideally for 2-3 minutes. Printed garments need to be passed through a quality dryer and the ink film needs to reach the desired temperature and maintained for a fixed time, variables such as garment thickness and colour, ink deposit and operating climate will need to be taken into account when setting your oven parameters. Always wash test production to ensure prints are adequately cured.
