International Coating 3804 Low Cure Additive lowers the curing or fusion temperatures of most plastisol based inks to less than 300°F (149° C). Use the 3804 Low Cure Additive when printing onto temperature and colour sensitive fabrics such as 100% polyester or non-woven polypropylene bags. The recommended addition is 5% to 6% by weight. To obtain the optimum performance of the 3804 Low Cure Additive, the additive must be thoroughly dispersed into the ink being modified , these bases are suitable for manual or automatic printing.
• Great for heat sensitive fabrics
• Reduce the final cure temperature of you ink to 149C from 165C
• Can be mixed into colours.
• Good washing resistance.
To obtain best results use a decent tension screens 34T/(80) to 90T/(230) both for manual printing and automatic presses – for best results use with a sharp squeegee blade.
• Curable reducer. (Ink thinner)
Plastisol will be fully cured at 165°C. Printed garments need to be passed through a quality dryer and the ink film needs to reach the desired temperature to be fully fused, variables such as garment thickness and colour. Ink deposit and operating climate will need to be taken into account when setting your oven parameters. Always wash test production to ensure prints are adequately cured.
